    Product Overview

The CAL4 is designed for testing the image quality performance of an endoscopic light source.

In today's world, endoscopic cameras are utilized in more ways than we might think. In addition to assisting medical professionals in viewing the inside of the human body, these systems are also used in home inspections to see behind walls and inspect pipes.

The CAL4 is a 0.3 m integrating sphere that provides a uniform illumination over the 50 mm chart plane. Simply connect the integrating sphere with the endoscopies (light projector) light source* to a fiber optic cold light cable by using one of the four adapters that are compatible with the most common light projectors.

It is an ideal solution when used with our D35 test charts (50 x 50 mm) to measure resolution, color accuracy, dynamic range, and noise.

    *Light sources not included.

    Key Benefits

    Endoscopic camera testing

The CAL4 is an integrating sphere for uniform illumination when testing endoscopic camera systems.

    Adaptable to most projectors

The CAL4 supports most mainstream medical projectors; others are available upon request.

    High uniformity

The CAL4 integrating sphere has a uniformity of >97% in the active chart area.

Use Case - Endoscopic Camera Testing

Image quality is a critical factor in medical imaging and endoscopic procedures. The ability to produce precise, accurate, and detailed images can directly impact diagnostic accuracy and procedural decisions. These challenges make evaluating and maintaining image quality a top priority for manufacturers of medical and endoscopic cameras. The CAL4 provides a solution for uniformly illuminating small test targets required for testing endoscopic camera systems. We offer a variety of 50 x 50 mm test charts to use with the CAL4 for efficient image quality testing.
