LG4

The LG4 is our standard uniform light box for illuminating transparent test charts.

With a uniformity above 95% and a compact design for easy transportation and setup, this device is a perfect solution for test labs needing an efficient testing device for transparent test charts.

From a more technical perspective, the LG4 is illuminated by 432 LEDs, with a range of 100 to 65000 lx and a 32 kHz PWM dimming function. The dim function can be easily controlled via a rotary knob on the device. These features allow varying levels of intensity during testing.

The device also has a built-in USB connection for software control, as well as one port each for CAN-in and CAN-out. These connections enable multiple LG4 devices to be connected for software control.

We also offer an LG C++ API (sold separately) for building a custom measurement environment.

The LG4 is also incorporated into the HDR lightSTUDIO. Now, real scenes with high contrast can be tested.

The LG4 should be used only with transparent charts such as OECF charts. This device is not suitable for color measurements.

One of the most important aspects of image quality testing is assessing a camera system's dynamic range performance. In essence, what are the low-light and bright-light thresholds where a camera system can still produce passable image quality (depending on requirements)? Testing high dynamic range in a test lab requires illumination devices that can be controlled to produce the various light ranges. Our LG4 uniform light box provides a compact solution for illuminating dynamic range test charts. In addition, we have incorporated two LG4s into the lightSTUDIO-LH to generate high-contrast test scenes using real objects and iQ-LED technology.
