The iQ-FoV Box Mini is designed to test the image quality performance of endoscopic camera systems. It is optimized for resolution measurements of wide-angle/ wide fields of view. What makes the iQ-FoV Box unique is the ability to individually align the test charts (designed specifically for the box) in the box’s corners. The charts use magnets for easy placements, depending on the field of view. This feature is crucial to allow the camera under test to compensate for the high levels of distortion often experienced by wide-angle lenses. Light Source Options Typically, endoscopic systems are equipped with integrated light sources, which can illuminate the test charts during testing. For systems without an integrated light source, an internal light source can be implemented into the box to illuminate the test scene. The test charts (TE283) that are optimized for this device can be individually adjusted and moved within the box.

For endoscopic camera systems that do not have a built-in light source, we can implement a light source as a custom order.

The Universal Camera Mount (sold separately) is an ideal mounting device for aligning endoscopic cameras with the iQ-FoV Box XS.

The TE283 test chart is compatible with the iQ-Analyzer-X image evaluation software.

Testing the image quality of wide-angle camera systems is challenging because traditional test equipment cannot account for the distortion introduced by large angles. One of the critical factors to test for endoscopic camera systems is resolution. The iQ-FoV Box XS is designed for endoscopic cameras and is optimized to test resolution performance in extremely large fields of view. What makes the iQ-FoV Box unique is its ability to align the test charts (designed specifically for the box) at the box's corners using magnets. This feature enables the camera under test to compensate for the high levels of distortion commonly encountered at these wide angles.

The TE283 slanted-edge chart (50 x 50 mm) is optimized for the iQ-FoV Box XS. This chart is ideal for wide-angle cameras and incorporates grey steps around the slanted edge for linearization. Test results from the TE283 can be evaluated using the iQ-Analyzer-X evaluation software.  

For camera mounting and alignment, we offer the Universal Camera Mount tailored for endoscopic cameras. Please note that the Universal Camera Mount is sold separately.
